A copper bus bar functions as a low-impedance conductor distributing high currents across multiple circuits. Unlike insulated cables, the rigid bus bar provides a direct, short-length path for current flow between incoming power sources and outgoing feeders.
When installed inside a switchgear cabinet, the bus bar connects the main breaker to branch breakers or disconnects.
