Why Monday Booking Beats Thursday Booking
Copper processing is a queue business, not a stock business. Once a rolling slot is taken by another customer, the next available window moves by a full week. In practice, a buyer who confirms on Monday usually gets material on the water 7 to 10 days earlier than a buyer who confirms the same order on Thursday afternoon. That gap is the difference between hitting a project installation date and paying for air freight or expedited trucking.
- Monday: rolling slot reserved, raw material blocked, inspection booked.
- Wednesday: cutting and edge trimming in progress, mill test certificate drafted.
- Friday: packing, third-party inspection if required, container booking confirmed.
Three Things to Confirm Before Friday
- Exact temper and tolerance. Half-hard, quarter-hard and soft tempers behave differently in bending and stamping. Send the drawing, not just the grade name.
- Documentation package. Mill test certificate, material certificate EN 10204 3.1, RoHS statement and packing list are prepared free of charge when requested at order stage.
- Incoterm and destination port. FOB Shanghai and CIF offers differ in lead time by several days because of inland trucking and port congestion windows.
Quality Control That Runs Every Week, Not Every Quarter
Each Monday, our QC team reviews the previous week's inspection records: chemical composition, tensile strength, hardness, dimensional tolerance and surface finish. Any coil or plate outside tolerance is pulled before packing, never after a complaint. Buyers are welcome to nominate a third-party inspection company such as SGS or BV, and we schedule the visit inside the same weekly cycle so that inspection does not add another week to delivery.
